MISSION STATEMENT
Camphill Milton Keynes Communities is an intentional community set up to support the diverse needs of people with learning disabilities. This aim is helped by the creation of a life sharing community made up of other adults also of diverse abilities who together attempt to form a socially holistic environment. It also aims to be a community where everyone can live, learn and work with others in healthy relationships based on mutual care and respect.
Camphill Milton Keynes Communities believes that community living in all its aspects can provide individuals, irrespective of their disabilities, the greatest help and support in achieving their highest potential.
Camphill Milton Keynes Communities is dedicated to promoting peaceful co-existence between peoples through community building, and with the help of Christian ideals such as those as articulated by Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925). These ideals promote the appreciation for the spiritual uniqueness of every individual without regard for their race, nationality, creed, age, world view or any other freely chosen perspectives on life, as long as these do no harm to others.
Camphill Milton Keynes Communities supports and seek ways to implement within a socially structured community way of life the basic tenets as expressed in the Department of Health Valuing People initiative.
